Live at the Apollo & Mock the Week star
performing her Edinburgh preview
Most recently you may have seen Ellie on Live at the Apollo or Mock the Week (twice), or starring in the Disney Channel’s worldwide hit series ‘The Lodge’.
Previously, Ellie has got her hands dirty trying to rid the UK of fake tan for BBC3’s make-under show ‘Snog, Marry, Avoid?’. She’s also acted as team captain on ITV2’s panel show ‘Fake Reaction’, been ‘Poppy’ in Comedy Central’s ‘Brotherhood’ and occasionally popped up on Channel 4′s ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’.
Or maybe you’ve just seen her in Pret. She’s in there a lot, especially on mushroom risotto day. But, she is a confident and utterly hilarious performer; a breath of fresh air on the comedy circuit.
In 2014, Ellie not only appeared in an episode of HBO mockumentary series ‘Family Tree’ alongside Chris O’Dowd but she also took her first hour-long solo show ‘Elliementary’ to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This was a show looking at love, life, Matalan and other such hard-hitting issues. Ellie’s debut “littered with comic gems” (The List) was so popular, she put on a run of extra weekend gigs to accommodate the demand. The show was also featured in the British Comedy Guide, The Guardian, The Big Issue and Stylist Magazine.
She took ‘Elliementary’ on a national tour whilst doing regular warm-up slots for The Graham Norton Show.As well as this, Ellie appeared on Sunday Brunch, The Wright Stuff and conducted live interviews with the cast of Eastenders for their highly anticipated ‘LIVE’ week.
This year, not only did she make more TV appearances (Live at the Apollo, The John Bishop Show, Drunk History, Celebrity Squares and more!) Ellie also returned to the Edinburgh Fringe with a brand new solo show ‘Infidelliety‘. Now, as a happily married woman, Ellie uses this show to explore that pesky bit of marriage known as monogamy. She has spent the Autumn touring ‘Infidelliety’ and has been confirmed for a run of dates at London’s Soho Theatre.

Anna’s TV credits include BBCs Outnumbered and Count Arthur Strong. She also took the lead in two episodes of ITV’s comedy entertainment show Bad Bridesmaid as a writer and performer. She has recently written and performed for Veep Producer Stephanie Laing’s new comedy platform PYPO and will star in a new Channel 4 sitcom in 2017. Watch this space!
